A 16-week Certification Course with Roz Zollinger, certified Aromatherapist and Instructor

The Heal Center’s Foundation Course in Aromatherapy is designed to introduce to the novice all the key elements of this increasingly popular natural therapy. Aromatherapist and Reflexologist Roz Zollinger draws from her twenty years’ experience as a practitioner and teacher to introduce to participants the fascinating world of essential oils, together with their wide-ranging therapeutic benefits.

Roz’s tutorials are conducted with an emphasis on class participation and discussion. They are lively, friendly and informative, and are designed to give students a firm foundation in the safe therapeutic use of essential oils, for the benefit of both body and mind.

There are three short tests during the course of the training program, and a final written exam is held upon its completion. A grade of 70% or higher is required to pass the examination and gain the Certificate.

Massage therapists will recieve 48 CE hours through NCBTMB.

* Students are required to have one professional reflexology session during the 16 weeks with the instructor at the Heal Center. (student rate $45)

** Within reason, make up classes and missed exams may be arranged at an additional hourly cost to student.

COURSE COMPONENTS:

• The origins and history of Aromatherapy.
• The study of 60 essential oils; their therapeutic properties and indications, safe use, and contraindications.
• The various practical methods of application of essential oils, including ointments and lotions, compresses, bath salts, and inhalation methods.
• The theory and weekly practice of the art of blending.
• The study of the basic anatomy and physiology of the major body systems and their relationshiop to Aromatherapy.
• A practical introduction to Foot Reflexology.
• Sinus drainage and Lymphatic Facial Massage.

Tuition: $725

Materials: $25 (course textbook, use of oils)

Japanese Students: A translated Japanese textbook is available with the English textbook for $45

This course is payable through a non-refundable deposit of $100 at registration, followed by the remaining fee on the first day. Prepayment discount: $40. Payment plan available.
